How come my questions never get enough stars to appear on the front page?

In my opinion some of them are pretty interesting - not all of them but some of them - Are those people just really lucky or something I mean c'mon those questions are really not all that interesting like the one about what is a really good commuter car or whatever and the one like what can be put in compost
